Light Transmission (PAR Range)
The total light transmission of the greenhouse film is extremely important for Photosynthetically Active Radiation (P.A.R.) The PAR range is 400 to700 nanometers. The intensity of these wavelengths (PAR range) directly influences growth and development of green plants
Light Diffusion
Most Thermal Films provide diffused light. Light diffusion increases photosynthetic efficiency by providing more homogeneous light from all directions. A diffused film reduces shadows, helps minimize burning and ensures better distribution of light. It has also been known to help average leaf temperatures. We offer a variety of diffused films with light diffusion rates of 30%-70%.
Thermal Effect
During the day, the greenhouse structure, plants and soil heat up due to both visible and infrared light from the sun. In the evening it cools down and re-enits radiation within the IR range. Special properties are incorporated within the film which block IR radiation and help maintain a controlled temperature in the greenhouse. providing plant insulation and less cycling of heaters at night. We offer 2 Thermal films. One of which offers 30% Light diffusion. The second has an industry leading 55% Light Diffusionl
Anti-Condensation
Anti-condensation properties modify the film surface; as a result water droplets are spread into a continuous water layer which subsequently runs down along the slope of the film. These films increase light transmission: reduce water drip, and diseases attributed to excessive condensation. We provide a warranty on the performance of our anti-condensation films!
Anti-Virus/UV Blocking
These films block UV radiation; this significantly reduces pest activity and damage caused by insects.
Anti-Dust
The multi-layer construction and special polymers usage result in a smooth film that prevents dust accumulation on the outside. This is an important feature to insure maximum light transmission and easy film cleaning.
